Live Mode offers second-by-second Lumia data capture during a defined session of time. It’s designed for personal discovery, helping you better understand which activities or conditions raise or lower your Flow Index.

**Before Starting a Live Mode Session**

Make sure your Lumia is synced and showing a green connected status. If you have not paired directly to your iPhone, you will need to be near your Light Station to start the session.

**Starting a Live Mode Session**

On the Moments page (set to “Today”), click the big plus sign (+) and select Live Mode. Choose your session length and begin recording.

**What if the Live Mode icon is greyed out?**

Lumia may not be recognized as in your ear. Check placement, wait a few moments, or try closing and reopening the app. Your device might not be fully connected yet. Confirm your connection is green. **What to Expect During a Live Mode Session**

* Once started, Live Mode will appear as a yellow tag on the Moments graph. You can zoom in to see second-by-second data appear.

* Tapping the yellow Live Mode tag will show the remaining countdown and give you options to add more time or end the session early.

* Once a session begins, you can leave your Light Station. Recording will continue even if the graph doesn’t display new data immediately.

Sessions end automatically at the selected time unless manually stopped. If you would like to stop recording early, click the yellow Live Mode tag on your Moments page graph for options.

Live Mode uses significantly more battery than standard recording, which takes a reading approximately every 4 minutes.

**Ideas for Live Mode Exploration**

Live Mode is a great tool to discover how different positions, activities, or conditions affect your Flow Index. Some suggestions include:

* 5-minute recovery pose: Sit upright for 5 minutes, then recline with legs elevated above your heart for another 5 minutes.

* Stand Test: Lie flat for 5 minutes, stand (or sit upright if safer) for 5 minutes, then lie flat again.

* Compare activities: Try cooking, taking a shower, wearing different compression garments, or doing light movement.

* Observe effects of medication or gear: You can stay on your medications while using Live Mode, do not change your treatment plan.

A second standing period showed an even deeper dip that quickly recovered. Compression garments (30-40mmHg) and vasoconstriction medication were used in this test.

**Tips for Best Results**

Avoid talking, chewing, or excessive movement during Live Mode to prevent data artifacts.

**Please note: Lumia data is not for medical use and should not be shared with healthcare providers. It is a general wellness tool for self-discovery and lifestyle awareness, not for diagnostics or treatment decisions.**
